Shabbat Resources and More Dear My Jewish Learning readers,
Before Shabbat begins we wanted to check in with you, our community of learners throughout the world. We have been so amazed by the hundreds of innovative ways of teaching about Jewish life and gathering in community that we have seen in the past week. In the coming days we'll be doing more to make sure you, our readers, have access to everything you might be interested in.
In the meantime, here are some of the special things My Jewish Learning and our partners are offering, to keep you informed, educated, and inspired. We continue to think of you in these challenging times. Pre-Shabbat Torah Join Rabbi Isaiah Rothstein for a few minutes of Torah learning, live on the My Jewish Learning Facebook page. Today at 5 pm Eastern.
Family Shabbat Service Portland-based singer Alicia Jo Rabins will be leading a Shabbat with songs for families with kids ages 0-10, but all are invited. More Services and Community Experiences Many synagogues are continuing to stream their Shabbat services online. In the weeks ahead you can check our ongoing list of live-streamed Shabbat services here.
You can also try a new virtual minyan, or prayer gathering, My Jewish Learning is offering as a way for mourners to say Kaddish, the prayer for those who are grieving, in a group of people. Stay on Top of the News The news about the coronavirus is constantly changing, and our partners at the Jewish Telegraphic Agency are on top of the latest developments in the Jewish world.
