Welcome to "The Whole Megillah"
Thank you for joining My Jewish Learning to dive deep into the five scrolls of the Bible, each called a Megillah. These books — Ecclesiastes, Esther, Song of Songs, Ruth, and Lamentations — are each publicly read in synagogue on a Jewish holiday: Sukkot, Purim, Passover, Shavuot, and Tisha B'Av, respectively.
Before each of these holidays, you'll receive a special email giving you new insight and understanding of the Megillah read on that holiday. You'll get to know what the deeper meaning of the book is, and how it connects to the holiday.
Get to Know Each Megillah
The Book of Esther, or Megillat Esther, is probably the most well-known megillah out of the five. Take a quick look at the stories in each megillah that Jews read throughout the year.
